Computer Training Center (CTC)

Imagine a place where you can come explore the Internet, e-mail friends or relatives, experiment with computers, learn word processing, compose your resume and gain job-related computer skills! The Computer Training Center is just such a place. And best of all, there is no cost!

What is our Computer Training Center?

  • The CTC is a state-of-the-art computer lab open free to those who are unemployed, underemployed, looking for a job, for those who want to upgrade their computing skills before starting a new job search or for individuals who have little or no access to computers and the Internet.
  • Participants can learn computer literacy and computer skills at their own pace with the help of knowledgeable and trained CTC volunteers.
  • The CTC is equipped with adaptive technology hardware and software for the added assistance for those with disabilities.

You can use the CTC to:

  • Learn to use the latest computer technology and software
  • Gain job-related skills
  • Get answers to technology related questions
  • Learn to use the Internet
  • Explore the Internet
  • Learn to use e-mail
  • Work with tutorials
  • Learn word processing
  • Write a resume
  • Do job searches on the Internet
  • Attend free workshops
  • Volunteer to help others learn technology

The CTC at Kent State Tuscarawas, 330 University Dr., NE, New Philadelphia is open Tuesdays and Thursdays,
Noon to 5 p.m.


Workshops at the CTC at Kent State Tuscarawas

There are low cost or free workshops scheduled throughout the year at the CTC, including:

  • Introduction to Microsoft Office - Tues., Feb. 24, 9 to 11 a.m.

Registration is required for all workshops.
